• The, then, Highway 17 is really Fremont Blvd, Alvarado Blvd, and Union City Blvd.
• Union City is not on the map, as it was not incorporated until three years later.
• Alameda Creek still follows it's old path and has not been turned into a Flood Control Canal.
• Highway 21 went over Mission Pass before Interstate 680 was built.
• Highway 50 went through the Hayward Hills before Interstate 580 was built.
• Mt. Eden, Russell, and Halvern are listed as towns separate from Hayward.
• Fremont is listed only as (Fremont City Area) as it was just incorporating in 1956.
